What you need to prepare:
A 2-page academic style CV
Be prepared to answer short questions on your experience with DeepLabCut or other computer vision tools, why this residency is a good fit for you, and what you hope to achieve by joining us.
A link to your github (or gitlab) profile.
A 2-minute video that introduces yourself and why you want to be a next-gen leader in animal behavioral research.
Who can apply?
If you identify as being under-represented in computer science and machine learning.
You are enrolled in a degree program or you are a post-doc, or early faculty.
There is no requirement to be a CS major or formal training in CS.
If you have DeepLabCut experience that is a bonus, but not a strict prerequisite. Having some experience with Python is highly desirable though (hint: check out www.DLCcourse.deeplabcut.org if you want more experience with python and/or deeplabcut).
Lastly, being passionate about continuing to contribute to the OpenSource ecosystem even after the Residency is ideal, so be sure to tell us your goals!
